Chicks look at other chicks, it is a natural instinct after all, but every time I go out I see more and more girls wearing less and less clothes. This bothers me on several levels, but mainly because I feel that young girls simply do not know any better. MTV videos, the Kardashians and those airhead WAGs are their role models and in Malta we do not have the so-called ‘fashion police’ roaming the streets to stop and advise. Well here is my 2 cents’ worth of advice to the 14 to 18 year old girls who will obviously stumble onto this post because I’ve managed to keyword it locally for Kim Kardashian and E! Entertainment. Here goes, 5 Reasons why chicks should wear more clothes.

1. You look like a slut

It couldn’t be any simpler could it? Low cut v and a micro mini skirt that hardly covers your arse, topped off with stilettos which are bigger than your head and loop earrings that look like blow job handles, yeah, that ensemble hardly goes a long way towards making you look attractive. Looking sexy is about looking great and feeling confident in a halter and jeans and heels and owning your look.

2. You leave nothing to the imagination

I do hate to sound like my mother here, but she is right about this one… wearing little (as in ‘little’) or too few clothes really leaves nothing to the imagination. You may have a killer body, but save it for the beach. The beach and the clubs in Paceville are two different places, and not to be confused.

3. It is cold

Once again, ‘less’ does not nevessarily mean sexy and ‘more’ actually means that you don’t catch a cold and actually do get to go to school on Monday. At school you might even learn something more important than what you will learn sitting on the sofa watching E! Entertainment.

4. I can see your knickers

And as nice as they are, and however much they cost, I do not want to see your bra strap or g-string, or laced up crotch. It is tasteless although at this point, I will say I’m rather taken aback and proud of the fact that you are actually bothering to wear underwear. Still, please don’t show it off. Underwear goes ‘under’ clothes…. you see, paying attention during English class when the teacher is on about prepositions may pay off one day!

5. Men will not want you more

Men suck! This may come as a surprise to many, but even Markbiwwa sucks at times! Now, let me give you another secret; no man is going to seriously want you more if you wear less clothes. Dressing like a slut makes men think you a slut and no guy wants to go out with the village bicycle. You know what the proverb says “A bicycle gets ridden but it don’t get loved.” Oh, there’s no proverb like that is there? Well, you catch my drift.
